Accommodation
All your accommodation is included during your stay in a traditional looking shared cabaña close to the beach, with garden and swimming pool.
Rooms at the cabaña are dorm-style with four beds, on a single sex basis. They’re large and spacious and you’ll have no problem maintaining your personal space. There’s a lovely outdoor space with hammocks, a shared pool and a Jacuzzi. There’s also a large communal kitchen and a sitting area with TV and DVD player, which is perfect for socialising with your new travel buddies. The facilities are cleaned daily and there is a security guard at night, for extra peace of mind.
Meals
Meals are not included. You can either buy food to cook in the communal kitchen, or explore the local restaurants.
About the programme
With 4 hours of daily (Monday to Friday) group Spanish lessons, you're sure to see a fast improvement in your language skills. All lessons are led by our experienced teachers, with learning materials provided and a focus on speaking Spanish as much as possible. The programme is open to all levels of ability from total beginners to more experienced Spanish speakers, so no matter where you are in your language journey, this is the trip for you!
Plus you will be staying in a traditional looking shared cabaña close to the beach, with garden and swimming pool.
We've also included a surf lesson every weekday of your first week to make the most of the amazing surf conditions here. You'll be hanging ten before you know it!

About the area
Montañita is a former sleepy fishing village that has become a popular destination for independent travellers, with its lovely beach and gnarly surf breaks. By day it's all big surf, yoga classes, hair braids and fruit shakes. By night it's a party town where anything goes!
Free time activities
You'll have evenings, weekends and a good chunk of your weekdays free to spend as you choose. Surfing is the most popular activity in Montañita, but you can also get involved with beach volleyball, football and yoga. If you fancy a break from the bustle of Montañita, the neighbouring villages of Manglaralto and Olón share the same golden stretch of beach, but are much quieter.
A diving or snorkelling trip and the Isla de la Plata is around 2 hours away by boat and is home to hundreds of bird species.

Arrival Information:
The nearest international airport to the project is Jose Joaquin de Olmedo Airport (GYE) in Guayaquil (around 2.5 – 3 hours transfer time). You will need to arrive into Guayaquil on day 1 - most flights land into Guayaquil in the evening. We will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to accommodation in Guayaquil for 1 night, before being transferred to Montanita the following day.
Your programme ends on your end date and you can depart at any time. A return transfer at the end of the trip is not included, but is easy to arrange locally. Make sure you leave plenty of time to get to the airport, to allow for traffic and other delays.
Age & Eligibility:
The minimum age to join this experience is 18 years old. No prior Spanish speaking experience is required to do this programme - we can cater to anybody from complete beginners to advanced levels!
