What's Not Included

Accommodation

5 nights’ accommodation is included in this trip. The accommodation is centrally located in Santa Teresa, with very close proximity to supermarkets, banks, drugstores and a metro station. The Lapa neighbourhood is nearby, which is famous for its vibrant Carnival street parties that play all types of music!

You will stay in multi-share, mixed hostel rooms with your other travellers on this trip, which are usually 6 to 9 beds. Wherever possible, we will try to place solo travellers into single-sex rooms.

Meals

This tour includes 5 breakfasts.

Arrive in Rio at any time and settle into your hostel before it's time for the welcome meeting planned in the late afternoon. Afterwards, enjoy an optional group dinner at a local restaurant. And if you're feeling ready for Rio, then you can go for a night out together!

Our day starts with a Rio de Janeiro sightseeing tour after breakfast, where you will see some of the city's most famous attractions up close, including world wonder Christ the Redeemer. Then you'll head back to the hostel, so you have loads of time to get ready for tonight. We will have a Copacabana beach bar all to ourselves for a huge private party - so let's dance the night away!

With your subway card in hand for the next few days, Rio is your oyster! Explore the street parties, or keep your options open with a few additional activities you can join - from hang gliding to catching a football game or taking a guided tour through a favela.

While you're welcome to explore Rio at your own pace today, you have the option to join the group and trip leader for some Carnival street parties. This evening, join us for the gigantic Sambradrome parade. It's bigger, brighter and bolder than anything you have ever experienced!

Use today to rest and recover from the wildest night of your life. We hope to see you tonight though, to celebrate our final evening together with one last Carnival street party. When in Rio!

As the Carnival festivities finish up in Rio for another year, so does your trip with us. Depart this magical city at any time.

Everyone's dream trip looks a little different, and this group tour is your chance to explore Brazil on a budget.
