Morocco’s climate is varied, with most of the country experiencing four seasons. This includes hot and dry summers, plus colder, more humid winters. Average temperatures can vary. Generally, the hottest months are July and August, with temperatures hitting at least 30°C in Marrakesh. In January, the average temperature is around 12°C.
In Morocco, you can also explore the Sahara Desert. This is a hot desert climate with little variation year-round. Morocco is also home to the High Atlas Mountains, the highest peaks in North Africa, which attract snow in the winter.
The best time to visit on one of our Morocco group tours depends on your travel preferences. The spring and autumn months are generally recommended for cooler temperatures and a more secluded sightseeing experience, as this is during the off-peak shoulder seasons.
Summers in Morocco can also be amazing, especially if you are looking to spend a few days by the beach to soak up the sunshine. Meanwhile, the winter months offer some of Morocco’s best surfing and skiing, plus the chance to immerse yourself in festivities like Amazigh New Year.
